Justin is an Emmy-nominated writer and director whose work straddles Feature Film, Television, Branded Content, Video Games and Commercials.
After training at London's prestigious LAMDA, he worked his way up the ranks of theatre before beginning his film career working for legendary filmmaker Neil Jordan. Justin then joined UK production powerhouse Working Title where he cut his teeth story editing a range of films including the Oscar Nominated Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Hot Fuzz and Nanny McPhee. After writing, directing and photographing his first short film, Timekilling, Justin was featured as a 'Star Of Tomorrow' by Screen International. Since then he has written scripts for an array of production companies including Ruby Films, Film4, Nickleodeon, RSA Films, BFI, Material Entertainment. Alongside this he has written and directed promos and shorts for Bacardi, Freuds Communications and the games giant Electronic Arts.
Justin's debut feature as writer/director, the futuristic thriller Narcopolis, premiered at the EIFF in 2015. The film, starring Jonathan Pryce, Elliot Cowan and Elodie Yung, went on to become a cult hit in the US where it was described as "The Time Machine for a Modern Era". The film has since been released in the UK by Oscar-winning distributor Altitude Films as well as multiple territories around the world.
In 2017 Justin was appointed the Head Writer on a 10-part YouTube Original, scheduled for release in November 2018. The show, a futuristic animation in the style of Akira, is set in a dystopian London of the 23rd Century.
Justin is co-writer of Solomon's Children, a dark police thriller. He is producing the film with Leo Pearlman of Fulwell73 and Alexander Mandell of Redfoot Pictures.
Justin's second feature as director is Shake Loose The Border, which he is also producing through his own label, Zenecky Productions. The film is a violent, tense account of an outlaw family staging its last stand against a brutal militia in 17th Century Scotland.
